Structure and Organogram

Forest Department comprises following organizations.

  • Territorial Organization
  • Wildlife Organization
  • Kenduleaf Organization

  • OFDC Organization

Territorial Organization: headed by an officer in the rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force. He is also the Principal Adviser to Government in forestry matters. This organizations looks after, forest administration, forest conservation & development, research, training, working plants preparation & implementation.

Wildlife Organization: headed by an officer in the rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. He is also the Chief Wildlife Warden, and superintends control over protected areas and wildlife management. Please visit the website www.odishawildlife.org for further details.

Kenduleaf Organization is headed by an officer in the rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests who looks after production & storage of kendu leaves and is jointly responsible for marketing of the produce.

Project Organization is headed by an officer in the rank of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Projects), who is responsible for project formulation & its implementation. Presently it is implementing a forest development project titled "Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project" supported by JICA. For details, please visit the website www.ofsdp.org
