Forest Land Diverted for Non-Forestry Purposes:
- Developmental Projects:
About 46,707.49 ha. of forest land have been diverted under Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 for different developmental projects, the details of such diversion as on 01.10.2015 are as under.

- Critical developmental and security infrastructure:
To facilitate creation of certain critical developmental and security related infrastructure; Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India in its Letter dated 3rd January, 2005 has accorded general approval under Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 for diversion of not more than 1 hectare of forest land in Left Wing Area in case of certain facilities (11 categories) managed by the Government Departments. Concerned Divisional Forest Officers shall assess bare minimum requirements of forest area for the projects which shall not exceed 1 hectare in each case and which involves felling of trees not exceeding fifty trees per hectare.
